The Plot of Malcolm's Marriage is about Julia's courtship. Julia is a wealthy young woman in 19th-century England. Julia does not know what her future husband wants, so she begins courtship with this mysterious man. Julia discovers that the man offers many perks like the opportunity to travel the world and live elegantly, but she isn't the right woman for him.
