The company has become a popular sponsor of golf events, and it is looking to expand its footprint even further.
Race to the CME Globe
CME Group Tour Championship is changing their name. It will now be called the Race to the CME Globe Championship. The first place prize is $2.5million. Chicago-based CME Group is the sponsor of the event until 2023.
Tiburon Golf Club
The Tiburon Country Club is a great spot to see a professional golf tournament. The tournament will take place in 2022 on the Tiburon Golf Club's Gold Course. CME Group Tour Championship is the season's final event on the LPGA Tour. It is one of the top events on the women’s pro golf tour. The event will air live on NBC Sunday, as well as Golf Channel.
Jin Young Ko
Rolex World Rankings number 1 is Jin Young Ko. 1 Jin Young Ko has won six of her last 11 LPGA starts. Jin Young Ko's first half struggled with injuries and travel issues. In March, she lost her grandmother which also affected her game. However, her consistency this year is impressive. In 10 starts, she has finished in the top 10, with five wins in the second half.
Yuka Saso
Yuka So finished 29th in the 2nd round of the 2021 LPGA CME Group Tour Championship. Saso had a strong first round but struggled with the tricky conditions.
Natalie Gulbis
CME Group Tour Championship is not only for professionals. The event offers a fantastic opportunity for women just beginning in the LPGA. Gulbis, who was part of a proam event in 2015, was rewarded with an invitation. Gulbis was then invited to participate in the CME Group Tour Championship. Gulbis' contributions to the creation of the event were acknowledged with an invitation.
Shanshan Feng
ShanshanFeng is the first Chinese woman ever to win a tournament at the LPGA Tour. She is currently in fifth place overall and has won two major championships. She has also won more than $4 million in her career. Feng is a very exciting player on the LPGA Tour.
