Chicago Sky wins WNBA season
Parker, who is from Naperville, Ill., returned home to the Chicago Sky after 13 seasons with the Los Angeles Sparks and was a key part of the Sky's title run. She was called the missing piece of the team, and this label she proved to be during the season's final match. Griner was, however, the heart of Phoenix's offense, scoring 28 points in the first quarter, with 18 of those coming in the second half. She and teammate Skylar Diggins-Smith led the team on a 9-point run to end the second quarter.
Sylvia Fowles, the WNBA's leading scorer all-time, is Sylvia Fowles
Fowles is happy, despite her disappointing performance in the WNBA. She wants to be winning, but she recognizes that life is much more important than basketball. As a result, she has never been more confident in her ability to make a difference and reach her goals.

Seattle Storm, a perennial contender
The Seattle Storm, the defending WNBA champions, are in the midst of a rebuilding process. In 2010, the champions were won on the shoulders a formidable Australian stretch-5 Lauren Jackson and an ageless Sue Bird. The standings fell due to Jackson's absence. That didn't stop the Storm from drafting new players in the 2015 and 2016 drafts.
Chicago Mercury a deep playoff contender
The Mercury have made a number of trades in the off-season that should help them improve upon last season's performance. In exchange for Bridget Pettis, Jillian Alleyne, Kim Smith, and the thirteenth pick of the 2012 draft, the team acquired two players in the WNBA Draft and a first-round pick in the 2013 draft from the Minnesota Lynx. The team also traded first-round picks to Los Angeles Sparks and the Minnesota Lynx for Temeka Johnson, A'Quonesia Benjamin, and Noelle Quinn. In return, Mercury received a second-round draft pick in 2013 and a third-round draft pick from New York Liberty.
Washington Mystics Elena Delle Donne
Washington Mystic Elena Delle Donne (Washington Mystic): The two time WNBA MVP will be in her fourth season. Her average point per game has been over 20. In the regular season she was ranked third with a 50.8 percent field goal percentage. She was also selected for the All-Star Team for the sixth consecutive season. Last season, she led Washington Mystics towards their first WNBA Championship. She also helped set a number of franchise and WNBA records.
Chicago Mercury's Chelsea Gray
Gray's Chicago Mercury point guard has undergone a major transformation, even though she was overlooked for her fifth straight All-Star nomination. Gray is now a top-notch player in the league and has led her team to an impressive 4-0 record.

Seattle Storm's Sue Bird
Sue Bird has confirmed that she will play another season of the WNBA Season in 2021 after contemplating retiring. She will be paid a minimum veteran salary of $72,141, and she will also receive endorsements and bonuses. Bird spoke to her team during Wednesday's dinner. She also spoke to her former teammates and other friends. She was drafted in 2002 by Storm and spoke later with Karen Bryant, her first boss.
