There are a number of awards for women's golf players on the LPGA Tour. The LPGA Tour also rewards players for their achievements, such as Player of the Year. Each player who finishes in the top 10 places earns a certain amount of points. Points are doubled at major championships and the Tour Championship. For example, 30 points are awarded for first place and 12 for second. A player who finishes in the third place is awarded a point, and a player who finishes in fourth place receives four points. A player who is placed eighth receives three points. The same applies to players in eighth-place. They receive two points for eighth. Vare Trophy, which is named after the player with lowest season scoring average, is another award.
