Hope Solo has made some news recently. Although she pleaded guilty in court to driving while intoxicated and child abuse, she was also accused of driving under the influences. She was then suspended from the Women's National Team. Hope is not the only one to be involved in scandals. Hope Solo pleads guilty driving while intoxicated

U.S. soccer star Hope Solo has pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated. The judge in Forsyth County sentenced Solo, aged 23, to suspended sentences, a 30 day active sentence, and a substance abuse assessment. Solo was awarded credit for her time spent in a rehabilitation facility by the judge. The sentence includes a $2,500 fine and the obligation to complete a substance abuse assessment.

She was arrested in a Walmart parking lot

Hope Solo, a mother of two, has been featured in several news stories following her arrest at the Walmart parking lot near Winston-Salem in North Carolina. The mother-of-two was arrested for driving while impaired and resisting arrest. She was also charged for misdemeanor child abuse. Hope Solo was seen lying on the driver's side seat by a witness. The officers pulled Solo over. Solo and her two children, who were both asleep in the backseat, witnessed the incident.


She was charged misdemeanor with child abuse

Hope Solo, former goalkeeper for the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team, was arrested for driving while intoxicated (DWI), resisting police arrest and misdemeanor abuse of children. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that she was also charged with misdemeanor child abuse. Solo was charged with misdemeanor abuse of children.

She was removed from Women's National Team 2016

Former U.S. Women's National Team member Hope Solo was suspended for 30 days from the team in 2016 after being arrested on two counts of domestic violence in 2014. This was caused by an altercation with her half sister and her 17 year-old nephew. She will soon be able to play for the USWNT once again in February. Following reports that Solo had a drinking problem, Solo was reported to have been intoxicated while driving in a U.S. soccer vehicle.

She has had several run-ins with law enforcement

Hope Solo, a retired soccer player has had numerous run-ins in the courts with law enforcement. In 2014, she was charged with assault and two misdemeanors. Despite her plead not guilty, the charges were dismissed due to procedural violations. Kirkland had dropped domestic violence charges against Solo earlier this year. Meanwhile, Solo denied all accusations.
