Camryn was just three and eight ounces in weight and spent nearly a month in neonatal intensive medical unit (NICU). Thankfully, she is doing well, and she and her husband have been promoting maternal health and better maternity protections in athlete contracts ever since.

Allyson Felix, Olympic gymnast discussed her struggles with maternity leaves in an interview with FOS during the Title IX anniversary summit. The Olympic champion is leading an initiative to ensure the availability of child care at the U.S. Championships, partnering with sponsor Athleta and nonprofit &Mother. Parents will have the option to provide child care for their athletes through the new program.
