Morgan Brian has endured a difficult few years while Ali Krieger is out of favor. Last player to hear she made the squad was Morgan Brian, who was out of injury for two years. The goalkeeper is one question mark. Ellis has used three different keepers so far this year. We'll find out soon enough. The identity of the other four players is still a mystery.

Tierna Davidson

Tierna Davy is the USWNT World Cup youngest player. She's a great choice for this summer's tournament. The Chicago Red Stars’ first-round draft selection is a central back with a positive mentality. Davidson won the 2017 National Championship with Stanford and was drafted in the same year by the Chicago Red Stars. Davidson is now fully trained after playing 90 minutes with the USWNT for 2018

Ali Krieger

Ali Krieger, U.S. Women's National Team defender, has been announced as part of the roster for 2019 World Cup. The 26-year old has three international caps under her belt and was part the team's best defensive performance of 2015. In 2015, the U.S. WNT's back line managed to keep its opponents to just three goals in five games. Krieger was part of five consecutive shutouts throughout the World Cup. She played from the second game in the group stage to the semifinal match. She won two games-winning penalty kicks against Brazil in 2011, and helped the U.S. WNT to reach the final against Japan. She played 600 minutes during that tournament.

Carli Lloyd

It's no surprise that Carli Lloyd is on the USWNT world cup roster. The 39-year-old American soccer legend is no surprise. She is currently America's highest-scoring player and oldest player. She and her assists helped the USWNT reach three consecutive World Cup finals, most recently in France in 2015. However, her career is far from over.

Tierna Mewis

After earning her first U.S. women's national team cap in 2014, Mewis has racked up 47 appearances for the team. She has scored nine goals, and has also served as an alternate for the 2016 Olympic team. While Mewis is still young, she is an incredibly talented player. She's an excellent choice as a USWNT midfielder, and her skills and experience will be invaluable to the team as it prepares for the World Cup.

Casey Short

It's not the most glamorous of jobs in women’s soccer, but Casey Short remains one of the most important USWNT players. Her contribution to the team is crucial, as she has already made more than most women's soccer professionals. As fellow player Christen Press put it, "I'm very proud of Casey."

She does have World Cup experience though, having been an integral part in the team’s 2015 win.
