She began playing soccer when she was five years old and has continued to excel in the game. In her short time, she has scored many goals, broken several school records, and won many awards. In her senior year she was named Soccer America's player of the season and Pac-10 player the year. She also holds the record for Stanford Cardinal women's soccer team's leading scorer with 71 goals in 155 matches. After college, she jumped ship to the club scene, joining the Washington Freedom and becoming the first American player to win the Golden Boot award.

Julie Beth Ertz

Julie Beth Ertz, one of the highest-paid female soccer players worldwide, is making a name. Colorado native, Beth Ertz played on two FIFA Women's World Cup champion teams and represented the United States in the 2016 Olympics. She has been awarded numerous awards for her athletic accomplishments, including being named U.S. Soccer Female player of the year twice. She is not only one of the most highly-paid female athletes, but she has been active in many charitable causes, such as the Ertz Family Foundation which aids underprivileged communities to realize their dreams through sport.

Anouk Hoogendijk from the Netherlands is a soccer player who plays with Ajax. She was awarded a bronze at the European Championship. The 5ft 5inch midfielder represented the Netherlands 94 time.

Lara Dickenmann

Lara Dickenmann, a Swiss soccer player, has received numerous national honors in recent years. She began her career as a youth player and advanced to the senior level. In 2002, she was the first-team All American in her age group and 2004 was her first All-Big Ten team in her age group. She was also a three-time academic all-Big Ten honoree and a four-time Ohio State Scholar-Athlete. Dickenmann continued to play for the New Jersey Wildcats before joining the Jersey Sky Blue in 2007. Dickenmann left Ohio State University to join the VfL Wolfsburg women's basketball team in Germany in 2008.

Sydney Leroux

Sydney Leroux, a Canadian soccer player, is a member the Seattle Reign FC. Leroux, who was a member of the Seattle Reign FC in Canada during her youth, is eligible to play for Canada's national soccer team. Sydney Leroux is also of dual nationality. Her father was born in the U.S. and her mother is Canadian. She made her professional soccer debut at the age of 15 and currently plays for the Seattle Reign FC in the NWSL. She played in the NWSL with the Boston Breakers in 2013, and is currently part of the Seattle Reign FC.

Jonelle Filigno

Filigno has been to many countries during her career and is now considered one of the most popular female soccer players. Filigno has represented Canada twice in the Olympics, the most recent time as part of the senior national soccer team. She scored the game-winning goal in 2012 against the British team. This helped Canada reach the semifinals and win bronze. The 27-year old started playing soccer at age seventeen. She's played on both the senior and junior teams. She won a bronze gold medal with the Canadian team in the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Alexia Putellas

Alexia Putellas (Spanish) is one the most gifted female players. She is a professional midfielder for the Prime Division club Barcelona. She is also a member of the Spain national women's team and has won the Ballon d'Or and UEFA Women's Player of the Year awards. Putellas loved Ronaldinho, Rivaldo and Andres Asiesta as children. Her father encouraged her to take up football. She has become one the most sought-after women soccer players around the globe.
