If you're a woman who enjoys playing basketball, you've probably considered Diana Taurasi or Breanna Stewart to be the best women's basketball player. But who else is on the list? Courtney Vandersloot, Elena Delle Donne and others? These players are up to you, but I have compiled a list of the 10 best women's basketball players.

Diana Taurasi

Diana Taurasi is the best WNBA player. Here are some examples of her resume. This All-Star has won numerous trophies, including the MVP Award and scoring title. Diana has won three championships, two Finals MVP award awards and 14 All WNBA selections. It makes her one the most talented players in the league.

Breanna Stewart

The Seattle Storm are back in the Finals for the 2nd consecutive year. Breanna Stearn is one of the top players in the WNBA. The two-time Finals Champion was in the MVP discussion after the 2016 Olympic Games. By the time Stewart recovered from an Achilles injury, she was widely considered to be the best player within the league. She was named the Finals MVP and league MVP for this year. In 2018, she was even considered the best player worldwide after winning the NBA's inaugural WNBA championship.

Courtney Vandersloot

After missing four years because of Elena Delle Donne's departure, Vandersloot led the Seattle Sky to the playoffs in 2021. Vandersloot averaged 8.6 assists per match that season, leading the league in this category. She was the league's leading assist per game leader in 2014 and 2015. In 2015, she also became the first WNBA athlete to average more than nine assists per games. She was also the league's best player in terms of points per game. Vandersloot averaged 10.2 assist per game in the postseason.

Elena Delle Donne

Many women will argue about Elena Delle Donne's ability to play WLBA well, but the evidence shows that she is. Her season in Washington was a landmark one for the former Duke star. Not only did she become the first WNBA player to shoot over 50% from the field, but she also shot over 40% from behind the 3-point line. Her shooting percentage was so high that she won two MVPs with different teams. Her contributions helped the Mystics win first place in the league, and to the top of their playoffs. Her performances earned her 12 votes.

Allie Quigley

Allie Quigley's talent and intelligence in women’s basketball is unmatched. Her mental toughness and intelligence make her an invaluable player. In the playoffs she made the game-winning basket as a Chicago Sky teammate. Quigley dribbled to the basket and was surrounded by two defenders. She quickly used the momentum created by her defenders to jump up for a mid-range jumper. She sank the shot by pulling up and firing elbow to elbow.

Tamika Captings

During her career, Tamika Catchings has racked up an incredible number of stats, ranking her as one of the best players in the WNBA. She is the leader in steals, and third in career point with 7,380. She was also awarded WNBA Player-of-the Year and three other league awards. Catchings is one of WNBA's most recognizable players, and will be inducted into Women's Basketball Hall of Fame at 2021.
